To make sure you are up to date and familiar with regulations and any new requirements by law please read information on our covid-19 page

🤗🙏Please carry on being covid safe so we can all get out of this world crisis soon🤗🙏

All contact on the days and times we are closed is to be made via  phone 01884 860271 or Email

For detailed information PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION ON THIS SITE about COVID-19 and how the pub has changed and what we have done to be COVID safe.

At a glance, the regulations for opening outside space are as follows. All customers must check in via the NHS app by scanning the code displayed at the pub. If you do not have the ability to do this you must still give your contact details in person. Any person refusing to do this means that by law we must refuse entry.  All drinks service is to be table service only and customers are required to be seated,(no standing drinking), so if the tables are all full, we do have a pub full of furniture which if there a demand for more areas to be created for seating outside we will bring more furniture out! We are not taking bookings as we feel that at the moment there is know need and we will always do our best to accommodate you.  On gatherings, the rule of six or Two houses holds still applies. Don’t bring your glass inside, we will collect them. No entry will be permitted to the inside spaces, the only exception is for the use of the toilets.  Face coverings must be worn if entering the pub for the use of toilets and is still a one in one out system. You must use hand sanitises on arrival, during your visit and before entering to use of WC.  If you would like more information please call and we can work things out together……oh and please remember we don’t make the rules, so be nice if you get reminded. It’s hard for us all.

(please be aware that these times can change at short notice and we reserve the right to close with out notice.)

Other stuff…..The Mount Pleasant inn is situated on the crossroad  in the centre of the village of Nomansland on the B31371 Tiverton to South Molton road.

If you come from the North Devon link road take the turning signed Templeton and when you come off link road take the right at the t junction then left following the Nomansland sign. (watch out for pot holes on small lanes, GENERALLY INDICATED BY RIBBONS IN TREES )

The day and times we are closed no entry or access to the pub.

Like many business we are recommending contactless payment if you can. But we will still accept cash. We accept Credit Cards & Debit Cards . We do Not accept payment by cheque.

BIT ABOUT DOGS  ….  we do allow dogs in but they must be kept on a lead at all times in all areas of the pub including outside, be cat and other dogs friendly and NOT be an un happy dog that will cry or bark ……its not pleasant for other customers !!! Areas inside that we book for with dogs is limited. If you turn up and have NOT booked a table inside with dog space this could cause problems !!! So don’t forget to say when we are again able to open up inside.  Also please don’t bring a whole pack….we are a small pub with difficult times in regard to inside floor space, outside space and social distancing . …oh and just to add one more request…the garden is not a dog toilet ! Take them for a walk ! Thank you

The Garden and outside spaces…. we have seating at the front of the pub and also a posh beer garden ! To avoid disappointment, we feel that we need to make you aware that these spaces are not a suitable children’s play park. Unattended children are not permitted in any outside spaces. The beer garden is set as a formal garden and the front is on the main road side of the pub. When outside spaces are open it is table service only. Please see hours page for details on times.
