As you may have read on this site, we have been at the Mount Pleasant Inn for a many number of years and in this time some of you will remember having special occasions in our Forge from birthday parties, family occasions or small weddings. On these occasions we provided a buffet as the numbers exceeded the maximum we can hold for a sit down dinner in the Forge. For a time the demand for this type of event became less, but lately there have been many requests, so we are happy to now once again take bookings and provide this relaxed buffet service for parties from a minimum of 30 up to a maximum of 45.
The buffet table is situated in the Forge. The rest of the tables in the forge are left available for some of your party to be seated at. Depending on how high your numbers are will depend on how many can sit at any one time, but these buffet menus are designed for the more relaxed parties and gives guests the perfect opportunity to mingle with out the structure of being seated.
We will decorate the forge for you, which is included for free. If you have a special colour or theme we can still accommodate your needs but a supplement of £30 will be added.

BUFFET MENU – Choice A £20pp
On the surrounding tables hummus, crudites, olives
Platter of assorted Cold Meats
Assortment of Tartlets – Roasted Vegetable & mozzarella – Goats cheese & red onion – Spinach & feta
Devon Pie – pastry base filled with a mix of potato, garlic, leeks and cheddar
Platter Fresh Salmon topped with lemon and served with prawns (Salmon made into individual portion for ease of serving and eating!)
Bowls of – Mixed green leaf Salad drizzled with French dressing
Pasta Salad – mix of pesto, olives, yellow pepper
Coleslaw
Tomato, beetroot, red onion & balsamic glaze
Hot minted New Potatoes
Mini sausages
Beet root falafel bites
Mini vegetable spring rolls
Baskets of Breads
Add pudding platters to the above – Tower of Chocolate Brownies served with strawberries & Platter of Mini fruit pavlovas £5pp
